Vehicle Technician

Porsche Centre Preston has an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to work for one of the world’s most iconic brands, based at their award-winning site on the Docklands.

The Role:

Applicants will have the ability to work within given timescales and be able to tackle all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing, together with:

• Perform all work assigned in a timely and economical manner, and to Company and Manufacturer standards
• Advise the Workshop Controller if additional work is required on a vehicle and seek their assistance and authority in the rectification of faults
• Maintain a high level of competency by undergoing on-site training, attending courses and reading technical bulletins as required
• Assist customers with any questions or concerns regarding their vehicle.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:00, and Saturday 9:00 to 12:30 on a rota basis.

Skills and Experience:

Applicants must be a qualified Vehicle Technician with a formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent), together with:

• Exceptional communication skills
• Aptitude for multi-tasking
• Strong teamwork skills
• An eye for detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Quality awareness
• Full UK driving licence.

Graphic Designer

We have an exciting job opportunity for a skilled and creative Graphic Designer, based within the award-wining Group Marketing team.

We’re looking for a creative thinker, bursting with fresh ideas, to deliver on a variety of exciting briefs. You’ll be taking projects from ideas through to planning and design – so being a confident communicator with the ability to manage your own workload/deadlines is essential.

The Role:

• Designing marketing campaign material, print adverts, vehicle graphics, display advertising, Centre point of sale (static and animated), social media assets (static and animated) and lots of other projects!
• Pitching concepts and campaign materials
• Collaborating closely with the Marketing team, Directors and Management, external corporate partners and suppliers
• Working to tight deadlines, without losing that all-important attention to detail

Essential Skills:

• Confident design background and proficiency in using Creative Suite (on iMac)
• A proactive attitude with lots of enthusiasm
• A dynamic style across both print and digital work
• Plenty of experience working with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

Experience of editing video in Premier Pro would be really helpful too!

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm, with a 30 minute lunch break, and the position is based at the Group’s Preston Docklands site. Our dress code is business casual, so jeans are allowed!
