Porsche Performance Parts

We are delighted to announce that we are now an Accredited Porsche Performance Parts Centre.

In collaboration with Manthey-Racing GmbH, you can now opt for one of the Porsche finely tuned Performance Kits, fitted by our specialist-trained team in our state-of-the-art workshop, on your 992 GT3, 991 GT3 RS and 991 GT2 RS. Alternatively, choose individual performance parts to experience even stronger adrenaline rushes and optimised performance where every detail is dialled in. Get ready for a racetrack experience, unlike anything you've felt before.

Our customers 991.2 GT3 RS was the first Porsche to have Porsche Performance Parts fitted at our Centre. The owner is an avid track driver, passionate about improving and personalising his driving experience. This customer opted for a Manthey Suspension upgrade with the 3- and 4-way adjustable suspension - whilst maintaining the front axle lift and retaining Porsche Warranty. The car went through an extensive set up, tried and tested at the Nürburgring, which includes toe camber and castor set-up, including corner weighting of the vehicle to match that of the drivers.

Aerodynamic Package

Porsche and Manthey combined their respective technologies and know-how in the development of the aerodynamics package. In addition, individual components were developed in line with the defined performance targets For instance, downforce at the front has been increased from 49 kg to 70 kg at a speed of 124 mph through the use of a carbon underbody, additional air baffle elements in the area of the front wheels and ducts/flaps on the front apron. The downforce at the rear end is increased from 93 kg to 200 kg at 124 mph thanks to the rear wing in combination with the rear diffuser and aero discs, all of which are manufactured in carbon fibre, further enhancing driving stability. The aero discs on the rear wheels reduce turbulence at the rear and have a positive effect on aerodynamic efficiency. To accommodate the higher aero load caused by the rear wing, the rigidity at the rear end has been massively increased. The rear wing itself is directly attached to the body using special supports (standard attachment of the wing to the rear lid). The aerodynamics package achieves a shift in the aero balance and a 70% increase in overall downforce. Among other things, the aerodynamics package was tested in the wind tunnel in Weissach which remains one of the most modern of its kind. The blower with a diameter of eight metres has extremely lightweight carbon blades and can generate wind speeds of up to 186 mph on the tested vehicle in the measurement area. During an aerodynamic measurement, the road surface simulation under the test object and its surroundings are also moved with the wind speed.

Threaded Suspension & Water Tank

Porsche and Manthey combined their know-how and technology from many years of experience in GT racing in the development of the threaded suspension. A McPherson upside-down design is used on the front axle. The spring strut features a high-strength aluminium housing to perform its wheel guidance function reliably and durably even in race track use The front damping unit is 3-way adjustable, and the aluminium support bearings also enable easy adjustment of the camber values on the front axle. The independent pressure stage adjustment in low and high speeds is carried out on the external reservoir via the adjustment wheels which do not require tools. The rebound stage can also be adjusted via an adjustment wheel on the lower end of the damper housing. If the vehicle has a standard front axle lift system, the function is retained in full. The rear axle features an aluminium spring strut. The 4- way adjustable damper (compression and rebound, in respective low and high speeds) can be adjusted without tools directly on the damper housing. The basic setup of the high-end chassis components was determined in countless laps on international race tracks, but above all on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and meticulously tuned by the engineers at Porsche and Manthey. An additional water tank for charge air cooling increases the standard volume by around 9 litres and ensures that the range is significantly extended between water refills. As a result, this allows the intake air temperature to be cooled for longer, to achieve maximum power yield and coincide with pit stops for fuel.

Brake Package

The racing brake pad for the ceramic braking system (PCCB) improves the fading characteristics as well as the responsiveness and control. The brake pad stands out for its constant friction characteristics over a wide temperature range and very good wear characteristics with low disc corrosion. The steel-sheathed brake line set provides even more direct pedal feedback and an accompanying faster response time. This component of the performance kit was also tested and co-developed by Manthey on the Nordschleife.

20 / 21-inch GT2 RS Magnesium Wheel Set

The 20 / 21-inch GT2 RS magnesium wheelset should also be ordered if not already installed on the vehicle. This offers an additional weight advantage of 11.4 kg in total compared with the GT2 RS aluminium alloy wheels. This wheel-set (without tyre valves as well as a sensor tyre pressure control system) is available in the following paint finishes: Brilliant Silver, Satin Black, Satin Aurum, White Gold Metallic and Satin Platinum. The wheel-set is suitable for the corresponding tyre sizes Front axle: 9.5 J x 20 RO 50 with 265 / 35 ZR 20 (99 Y) XL tyres and Rear axle 12.5 J x 21 RO 48 with 325 / 30 ZR 21 (108 Y) XL tyres. Please note: Porsche recommends using Michelin Sport Cup 2 R tyres.
