Our partners, Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green, have officially unveiled the Fylde’s first Porsche Destination electric charging point. Ribby Hall Village will now join more than 3,000 other destinations worldwide with charging points listed locations on Porsche.com, satellite navigation system and Porsche App.
Stephanie Harrison, Ribby Hall Village Marketing and Strategy Manager, said: “Sustainability and the environment have been a priority for us for many years. Our partnership with Porsche Centre Preston has fast-tracked the installation of new EV chargers reinforcing our commitment to sustainable tourism and the environment.”
Ribby Hall Village is a Green Tourism Gold Award holder, The Green Tourism Business Scheme is run by Visit Britain. The scheme issues certificates in recognition of sustainability in UK tourist destinations. The “Porsche Destination Charging” programme was launched in May 2020 to oversee roll out charger installations at selected hotels, airports, museums, shopping centres, sports clubs and marinas.
Tom Fox, Centre Principal, said: “The Porsche Destination charging programme means that - in addition to charging at public charging points; at home; and, at a Porsche Centres - Porsche electric and hybrid owners can also charge their vehicles at a global network of luxury hotels, fine restaurants and premium venues; just like Ribby Hall Village.”
Two local businesses - PEI-Delta Limited in Poulton Le Fylde and Preston-based Smart EV - joined forces to install the chargers.
The Ribby Hall EV charger installation follows on from our first installation at Moor Hall Restaurant with Rooms in West Aughton. Our partnership with the two-star Michelin restaurant was launched in September 2020 and, last year, acknowledged as the best in the country by Porsche GB.

To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
